Limestone cut

Isopods prefer calcareous environments to cover their lime needs. So limestone fits perfectly into the isopod terrarium. The woodlice like to nibble at the relatively soft rock and the limestone also offers many hiding places for the animals. Especially young animals can hide in the smallest cracks and are thus safe from danger. We especially like to use limestone for Cubaris species, because they like to be found in their natural habitat. Our limestones have a straight surface at the bottom and can therefore be safely placed on the terrarium floor (not on the substrate) without the stone slipping or being undermined afterwards. It is best to leave the stone standing and only move it when changing the substrate.
