Behavior:
Porcellionides pruinosus are regularly seen on the substrate and are a great species for any beginner. Since they are voracious eaters, they make excellent “substrate police.” They are very often found among fallen leaves, which they eagerly eat, stripping them down to the skeleton.
Breeding:
These animals reproduce rapidly, so you have to be careful that they don’t get out of control in a community terrarium. For this reason, the Cuban Isopod is also very well suited as a food source for medium-sized reptiles.

Brief description:
The ground color of this species is gray. The legs and antennae are white-grey in color.
Special Features:
There is an orange and white color form which are also very popular with various reptiles and frogs. As soon as the white breeding form is stable in its reproduction, we will offer it here.
Tip: Cuban isopods eat and need a lot of calcium, so we always provide our animals with calcium in powder form.
