OriginGreat Britain, Denmark, Austria, France, Italy, Sweden, Croatia
Temperature18-23 °C

Behavior:

A very interesting group animal that you get to see more often.

Breeding:

Very easy to breed, but the young animals grow relatively slowly. It takes about 12 months from hatching to adulthood.

Special features:

The animals have a nose on the front and are therefore also called nose-ball dormice. Although outwardly very similar to Armadillidium vulgare, the main difference is the pale longitudinal stripes that extend from the head to the back. In contrast to most Armadillidium species, which have a flat tail, Armadillidium nasatum has a rounded tip with the sides curved inwards.
