The leucistic morph has a completely white base coloration with black eyes. The size and simple posture have not changed as a result of the mutation.

It is possible to keep a group of Armadillidium granulatum “White Pearl” without any problems in containers with a capacity of 5 liters or more. It is important to note that this species of isopod will not reproduce if there is insufficient space. Since their natural habitat is the litter layer in deciduous forests, special attention should be paid to this aspect. If you want to design the terrarium to resemble their natural environment, choose a substrate consisting of an approximately 10-centimeter-thick layer of deciduous forest humus, leaves, and white-rotted wood. Moss, pieces of bark, and leaves should be scattered over this layer of substrate. These items serve both as shelter and as food, and they help retain moisture in the tank. The tank for Armadillidium granulatum “White Pearl” should always be kept moist. However, waterlogging must be avoided at all costs. With regular misting, humidity levels will normally stabilize quickly between 60 and 80%.
