We only ship live animals from Monday to Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend.
The shipment is made after receipt of payment with DHL or UPS. On the day of dispatch, an email with the tracking number is automatically sent to the buyer.



UPS Express Saver guarantees next-day delivery. Therefore, it is our shipping option for pet purchases! UPS is committed to transporting living creatures, so your packages are handled with care. We guarantee a live arrival! This insurance is included in the shipping costs. If you are unable to accept the package, another delivery will be made the next business day. After two unsuccessful delivery attempts, UPS will return the package to us. Please make sure that you are able to receive the parcel so that the delivery goes smoothly. If the package has to be resent, you will incur additional shipping charges.
DHL Parcel has a delivery time of 1-3 working days and this can sometimes take up to 2 weeks. Therefore, it is the cheapest shipping option for your accessories. Unless you live in a NON-EU country. Unfortunately we can only ship with DHL and the animals will be shipped with the slow shipping option.
The shipping costs depend on the weight and size of the ordered goods and are calculated dynamically. Despite careful checking of our prices, it may happen that the shipping costs change. If the actual shipping cost is lower than the quoted price, we will automatically charge you the lower price and ship the ordered item to you without consultation. However, if the actual shipping cost of an order is higher than the stated price, we will contact you to ask if your order remains valid.


In rare cases, the delivery may be damaged in transit. Don’t worry, the packages are insured with us and you will receive a new one from us. However, it does not help if you write an email to Insektenliebe, as we as the sender cannot forward any claim to DHL, not even with photos that you send us.
In order for the parcel insurance to pay for the damaged parcel in full, you must proceed as follows:
  1. If you already recognise the transport damage upon delivery, you should refuse to accept the parcel. It is important that you state on the record that you did not accept the parcel because of external damage.
  2. Often everything is in order on the outside, but the contents of the parcel have been broken due to poor handling. In this case, you should fill out a damage claim form, which can be downloaded from the UPS or DHL website, within seven days. You then hand in the form, all package contents such as cushioning foil and the damaged package at a post office branch, which is then sent to the package inspection centre.


The shipping costs depend on the weight, content and where the goods are to be delivered. The exact price is calculated automatically in the shopping cart. If no shipping options are displayed, shipping to your country is unfortunately not possible.
