The Arcadia Reptile Jungle Dawn LED BAR uses the very latest “High OutPut” LED diodes, which produce a light output of 130+ lumens per watt.

The configuration of LEDs in a lamp is as important to potential plant growth and illuminated area as their spectrum and output. Like all life, plants depend on the amount and quality of energy available to them through a light source. The greater the amount of light and the larger the area illuminated, the better the potential results. Any given light source can only produce a certain number of photons (packets of energy) as “total light output.” As the light moves forward, it begins to spread out to cover a larger area. The farther away a lamp is, the larger the area covered by light. However, the measured energy in the light becomes weaker the farther the lamp is from the target. To ensure that the greatest amount of light enters an enclosure, enough diodes must be used, spaced at the proper distance from each other and with an appropriate spectrum, color, and lumen output.
