Behavior:

The isopod species is relatively robust and can be regarded as a beginner to advanced isopod species. Because they are kept relatively dry compared to other species, they also have fewer problems with mold and mite infestation.

Breeding:

Porcellio spec. “Morocco” has a high reproduction rate. The development time is not yet 100% certain, but can be assumed to be approx. 6 months. A detailed analysis will follow.

Special features:

One should with Porcellio spec. “Morocco” Spray or water in a corner of the container every 2 days. It is advantageous to set up a spaghnum moss corner there so that the water is absorbed and can be slowly released into the environment. The rest of the breeding container should be dry. Coco humus is suitable as a substrate and is best covered with a layer of pine bark. Foliage as a top layer and food is ideal for the Porcellio spec. “Morocco”. Fish food can be offered as a protein supplement. Of course, as with all other isopod species, the basics such as cuttlefish shells and dead wood are irreplaceable for Porcellio spec.
