Perfect soil moisture with the Insektenliebe Coconut Brick
The Insektenliebe Coconut Brick is an excellent alternative to conventional terrarium substrates. It is made from sustainably sourced coconut fibres, which come from the shell of the coconut. When water is added, the pressed coconut brick swells within a few minutes to form a loose, natural substrate that is ideal for numerous terrarium animals and plants.
Thanks to its excellent moisture-retaining properties, Insektenliebe Coconut Brick ensures a balanced climate in the terrarium. This substrate is particularly popular for keeping tarantulas, amphibians and other moisture-loving terrarium inhabitants. It helps to stabilise the humidity in the terrarium and creates a natural environment for your animals.
Another advantage of this substrate is its sustainable production. The environmentally friendly production not only makes Insektenliebe Coconut Brick an ecologically conscious choice, but also guarantees consistently high quality for the needs of your terrarium animals.

Whether you keep small reptiles, amphibians or invertebrates – this coconut fibre substrate provides them with a pleasant and natural environment. Its versatility makes it a valuable basis for your terrarium set-up.
Important information for keeping first decomposers
Although the Insektenliebe Coconut Brick has many positive properties, it should not be used for keeping primary decomposers such as millipedes, woodlice or cockroaches. These animals do not absorb the substrate and instead require forest humus, white rotten wood and food leaves as a basis for species-appropriate husbandry. We therefore recommend continuing to use natural forest soil mixtures to provide these animals with the best possible care.
Application:
