Shell grit is an ideal and natural source of calcium. Shell grit supports a clean process of moulting or snail shell construction. Our grit is extracted from sea shells and is free of additives. After extraction, the mussels are washed, dried, heated, crushed and sieved.The shell grit is simply mixed into the substrate and ensures a lime-rich soil. The shell grit binds very slowly and is therefore a long-lasting source of calcium. The content is sufficient for 18 litres of soil substrate.
