Short description:
Typhochlaena seladonia belong to the jewels among tarantulas. Their appearance is like a sparkling diamond and you fall in love at first sight. The colours run in on themselves and sparkle in all facets of the rainbow.
The animals do not need much space. You should offer them a small cork tube that should stand diagonally in the terrarium. From this cork tube they remove the lichens and mosses to use these materials to build their web with a built-in trap door on the cork tube. The humidity should be between 75-80%. This is easily achieved with some substrate and moss.
Some Typhochlaena seladonia do not take kindly to food offered to them. They have a very defensive nature and sometimes a nimble flying or jumping food animal is too much stress for them. However, Typhochlaena seladonia are very good at freshly killed food. These are simply placed near the trap door.
