Short description Hyllus diardi:

Hyllus diardi is very reminiscent of Hyllus walckenaeri in its species and appearance. They are always busy with something, which makes watching them very interesting. Their jumps are also remarkable and they cover very large distances this way.

Within a group they are more socially acceptable than other jumping spiders. They can be kept in groups until they are subadult. The sexual dimorphism of this species is remarkable. Male Hyllus diardi are not only different in colour, but also have different body proportions. The large chelicerae are remarkable!

Fruit flies, house flies or oven fish are suitable food. Anything that is not eaten within a day should be removed from the terrarium. We feed and water juvenile spiders every 3 days and adults once a week. Humidity should be at 70% with good ventilation. We spray a little water in a corner. This is sufficient and it is better to spray sparingly than too much. The animals absorb the water drops as needed and quench their thirst.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to determine the sex of Hyllus species until they reach sexual maturity.
