Short description about Damon medius “tailless whip scorpion”:
Damon medius are easy to keep and relatively tolerant to fluctuations in humidity. The animals behave peacefully and can also be kept in groups. For single keeping a terrarium size of 30 x 30 x 40 cm is recommended. For the substrate it is best to use a 5 cm high layer of forest humus, which is best inoculated with springtails. This prevents mould from forming in the permanently humid terrarium. Although this species tolerates a lower humidity for a short time, it should be increased to at least 70% as soon as possible.
The animals live in the rainforest mainly on trees, behind loose pieces of bark and appear at night. Therefore you should put pieces of cork bark on the back and side walls to provide enough hiding places.
A bowl for water absorption must be offered additionally.
