The primary color is dark red. From the 6th segment there are black spots on the defense gland exits. On the front section of the segments there are more or less distinct black spots. From the base of the legs there is a black band on the posterior section of the segments (metazonite), which reaches to below the defense glands, in the posterior segments it partially reaches them. The head shield (collum) is black, in places dark red marbled, with a red band on the posterior margin, narrow red fringed in front. Head, legs and antennae are black.
Centrobolus spec. “Mozambique” mostly live on trees and are therefore very good climbers. Also in the terrarium enough branches should be offered for climbing. The substrate should be filled at least 10 cm high, better of course more.
Lighting can also be omitted with this species, but a day-night rhythm should still be maintained. So please do not put it completely dark. A temperature of 22-26°C has proven to be suitable for keeping these animals. We keep our animals at 60-80% humidity throughout. To keep the humidity you can cover the substrate with leaves, moss, bark or similar. As food serves both the organic material contained in the substrate, and additional food such as cucumbers, mushrooms or centipede food. The species regularly stays on the surface in adult status and can be super observed. The breeding of this species is relatively easy and it forgives one or the other mistake in keeping, which makes it a good beginner species.
