Isopods belong to the higher crustaceans and need a humid environment. There are isopod species that also live in deserts and semi-deserts. However, they spend most of the time in an up to 50 cm deep living tube. They leave their burrow in the morning and evening hours, as long as the heat is bearable for them to look for food.
Since they are very adapted to the life of the desert, nobody has yet managed to breed these species. Therefore I have to disappoint you and tell you that there is no isopod species I can recommend for your needs. Maybe this will change, but at the moment I don’t have an option for you.
