The basic colour is brown. From the 2nd segment to the 4th segment the colour changes to creamy white. The legs and antennae of this species are also completely creamy white. This colour constellation gives the isopod the name “Panda King”.
Cubaris spec. “Panda King” live in tropical areas in Vietnam. Therefore, a humidity of 75-85% should be maintained. To keep the humidity, you can cover the substrate with leaves, moss, bark or similar. With Cubaris spec. “Panda King” you can do without chimney ventilation or generally large-scale ventilation.
The organic material contained in the substrate serves as food, as well as additional food such as vegetables, fruit and isopod food. A large foliage layer on the substrate is very popular as a feeding and hiding place. The species regularly stays on the surface in adult status and can be observed well. Breeding this species is relatively easy and it is also forgiving of one or two husbandry mistakes, which makes it a good beginner species.
