Cubaris spec. “Panda King”

Brief description:

The base color is brown. From the 2nd segment to the 4th segment, the color changes to creamy white. The legs and antennae of this species are also completely creamy white. This color constellation gives the Isopod the name “Panda King”.

Cubaris spec. “Panda King” lives in tropical regions of Vietnam. Therefore, humidity should be maintained at 75–85%. To retain moisture, you can cover the substrate with leaves, moss, bark, or similar materials. For Cubaris spec. “Panda King,” there is no need for chimney ventilation or large-scale ventilation systems in general.

The organic material contained in the substrate is used as food, as well as additional food such as vegetables, fruit and isopod food. A large layer of leaves on the substrate is often used as a feeding and hiding place. The species regularly spends time on the surface in its adult state and can be easily observed. Breeding this species is relatively easy and it is forgiving of the occasional husbandry mistake, which makes it a good starter species.
