Ectrichodia distinctus “predatory bug”

In contrast to many other predatory bugs known in terrarium keeping, Ectrichodia distinctus do not feed on insects but on millipedes. They are not picky and can cope with small European species as well as all African species. The animals on offer are our own offspring and are therefore very stable. We keep them in our Insektenliebe Isopod Complete Set L, which is completely sufficient for a group of up to 30 animals. A large piece of bark as a hiding place and a drinking bowl should not be missing. Ectrichodia distinctus likes it rather dry, so it is quite sufficient if the area around the drinking bowl is kept slightly moist. This place is preferred by the females for laying eggs. We feed our animals every 2-3 weeks with a millipede of the appropriate size.
