The Creobroter spec. “Yunnan” produces between 20 and 40 nymphs per ootheca, making it an excellent choice for breeding. Young nymphs of this species can easily be kept in groups up to the L4 stage, which makes observing their social interactions and communication patterns particularly interesting. A characteristic feature of these mantis shrimp is the wiggling of their tentacles, a form of communication that also takes place among themselves.
