Armadillidium species are known for their ability to roll into a ball when threatened. They prefer slightly drier habitats than other isopods and are perfect for Mediterranean or semi-arid terrariums.
Besides being excellent decomposers, many species feature beautiful colors and patterns. They’re long-lived and relatively easy to keep.
