Porcellio species are hardy land isopods that make an excellent cleanup crew in any terrarium. They efficiently break down organic matter and help maintain a healthy microclimate. Many Porcellio species reproduce quickly and can even serve as an additional food source.
Thanks to their adaptability, there are species suitable for both dry and humid environments. Species like P. scaber or P. laevis are especially beginner-friendly and easy to care for.
