The Insektenliebe Rearing Terrarium is perfect for rearing mantids, jumping spiders, tarantulas, scorpions or other offspring. It is also perfect for permanently housing small-bodied species.
The containers can easily be stacked on top of each other and the clear design allows the animals to be observed from the side as well as from above. The clip closure is fitted with a silicone lip and thus closes absolutely tightly and can be opened easily. However, this is not necessary at all, because the ventilation is provided with a screw thread and thus allows the container to be opened quickly in order to feed the animals. With this technique, you can stack the Insektenliebe Rearing Terrarium without having to constantly take it down again. The transparent ventilation grille is weeping fly and fruit fly proof and thus keeps all troublemakers out of the rearing terrarium.
The Insektenliebe Rearing Terrarium is supplied with a 350 ml tin of substrate. The substrate is mixed by us and consists of 70% forest humus and 30% sphagnum moss. This mixture stores the moisture perfectly and slowly passes it on to the environment. You can also easily add a soil police to this substrate. In addition, you have the choice between a piece of cork and a river root. Both products are processed by us in such a way that they fit into the Insektenliebe Rearing Terrarium without any problems. A species name sticker is also included, so you can see at first glance which species is in the terrarium.
If a heat source in the form of a lamp is required, we recommend the Exo Terra Reptile Dome NANO with bracket and the Exo Terra Daylight Basking Spot. The temperature in the Insektenliebe Rearing Terrarium should be measured beforehand and adjusted by reducing or increasing the distance, as desired.
