Merulanella spec. “Starsky”

Merulanella spec. “Starsky” is a very interesting Isopod species. It has a brownish-grey base coloration with yellow dots. The coloration develops over time, i.e. young animals often only have the basic coloration and only develop the yellow dots later in life. Merulanella spec. “Starsky” sometimes appears somewhat hectic. However, this subsides with prolonged handling in the box and especially when spraying water, they come out of their hiding places.

Keeping them should not be a problem for somewhat experienced Isopod keepers. Merulanella spec. “Starsky” has now been bred in captivity for several generations and is forgiving of the odd husbandry mistake.
