Porcellio magnificus lives up to its name. Porcellio magnificus has a wide range of food. Foliage, white rotten wood and isopod food form the basis. In addition, there are protein sources that are important for the stable development of the colony. With a varied diet, the young animals grow rapidly and quickly develop the typical strong coloration. A healthy colony looks very dynamic, as the animals are clearly noticeable due to their size.

Porcellio magnificus is robust, but its size and activity make it particularly interesting for advanced keepers. It brings a lot of life into the terrarium and its appearance almost makes it look like a small armored creature from a Mediterranean fantasy world.
