Jumping Spiders Complete Set – Creative
Jumping Spiders Complete Set – Creative – Your Terrarium, Your Design
With the Jumping Spider Complete Set – Creative, you get everything you need to design a custom home for your jumping spider yourself. Instead of a pre-designed setup, you can arrange wooden discs, an eucalyptus bell, Fingerwood, sphagnum moss, and other elements however you like.
The Terra Fix & Easy Nano Line, measuring 20 × 20 × 40 cm, serves as the foundation. This tall glass terrarium was designed for small invertebrates and mini-biotopes. It features clear glass panels, a front panel that opens toward the front, a safety latch, and a fine-mesh ventilation grille. As a result, it provides an excellent foundation for a richly decorated jumping spider terrarium.
The 40 cm height provides plenty of space for vertical design. This is exactly where the cork back panel, wooden discs, the eucalyptus bell, and the branched fingerwood come into play.
We recommend this set for a jumping spider with a FH rating of 5 or higher.
A tall glass terrarium for your jumping spider
The Terra Fix & Easy Nano Line—20 × 20 × 40 cm —is the centerpiece of the complete set.
The tall height allows you to set up the interior across multiple levels. Wooden discs create raised surfaces, while branches and other structures connect different areas. This way, you can make use not only of the floor but also the sides and, above all, the upper part of the terrarium.
The front consists of a single pane of glass rather than two sliding doors that open against each other. It opens forward and normally closes very tightly. This is a particularly important advantage when keeping small invertebrates.
In addition, the terrarium has a fine-mesh ventilation grille. This allows for regular air circulation, while the fine mesh also makes it suitable for small inhabitants.
Extra security with the included sealing tape
Although the front window of the Terra Fix & Easy Nano Line normally closes tightly on its own, the Creative Set also includes a 0.8 mm-thick sealing tape.
You don’t have to attach this automatically.
After assembly, simply check that the front door closes properly. If, contrary to expectations, there is still a small gap in one spot, you can insert the included sealing tape there.
That way, you’ll have the right material on hand right away in case additional waterproofing is needed.
The cork back panel provides the natural foundation
The “Insektenliebe” cork back panel, measuring 19 × 26.5 cm, is attached to the rear glass pane using the included silicone.
Cork immediately adds a natural look while also bringing a textured surface to the otherwise smooth glass terrarium. As a result, the back wall serves as the foundation for further design elements such as wood, moss, and other natural materials.
Attach the cork backing using the included Hobby Silicone Adhesive—Transparent —and press it firmly into place.
After that, the silicone must cure completely for at least 24 hours before you continue working on the back wall.
Properly Fill Gaps Behind the Cork Back Panel
Cork is a natural material. For this reason, the back is not completely flat and may protrude slightly from the glass in some places.
That’s exactly why you should check the back panel again after the initial curing.
If large gaps have formed between the cork and the glass, seal them in a second step using the included silicone. To do this, apply a neat bead of silicone along the affected areas between the cork and the glass pane—similar to a corner joint in a bathroom.
This will also prevent your jumping spider from getting behind the cork backing later on.
Forest humus makes visible silicone stains disappear
A silicone joint alone would, of course, stand out immediately between the cork and the wood. That’s why it can be easily concealed using the forest humus included in the product.
Carefully sprinkle a little forest humus over the silicone while it’s still fresh.
The humus adheres to the surface, thereby covering the visible silicone seam. This creates a much more natural transition between the cork and the glass.
Afterward, this new silicone sealant must also be allowed to cure completely for at least 24 hours.
Now comes the creative part
Once the cork backing panel is securely attached and all the joints have cured, you can begin the actual design process.
The set includes wooden discs and a eucalyptus bell, which you can attach using the included silicone.
This is where you can get creative. For example, attach several wooden discs at different heights. This creates additional levels and surfaces inside the terrarium.
You can also mount the eucalyptus bell higher up to blend it into the surrounding landscape. Together with the cork back panel, this creates a varied back panel design.
Thanks to its 40 cm height, you have plenty of space to arrange the furnishings across multiple levels.
Glue the wooden discs and the eucalyptus bell in place as well
For the wooden discs and the eucalyptus bell, use the included silicone adhesive as well.
Here, too, you can sprinkle a little forest humus on any visible silicone spots immediately after attaching them. This will make the adhesive spots blend in visually with the natural materials.
After gluing, remember: The silicone must be allowed to cure completely for at least 24 hours.
This way, you can take your time with the design and set up the terrarium step by step.
Fingerwood creates additional pathways at height
The included HOBBY Fingerwood Shadow complements the glued-in elements with a branched wooden structure.
This is especially handy in a tall terrarium. The Fingerwood connects different areas and creates additional places for the animals to walk and climb.
For example, you can arrange it so that the branches extend from the bottom toward the wooden discs or the eucalyptus bell.
This not only makes the terrarium look more natural, but it also allows you to make better use of the available space.
3 liters of forest humus for a natural substrate
The Jumping Spider Complete Set – Creative contains a total of 3 liters of sterilized forest humus.
This gives you plenty of material to create a natural-looking substrate for the bottom of the 20 × 20 cm terrarium. At the same time, you can use a small amount of the forest humus during the setup process to hide any visible silicone seams.
Our forest humus is sterilized at 80 °C. This makes it particularly well-suited for use in terrariums.
Once you’ve finished the gluing, spread the forest humus on the floor. You can then combine it with sphagnum moss, fingerwood, and other natural materials.
100 g INSEKTENLIEBE Sphagnum Moss for natural accents
The set also includes a 100-g container of “Insektenliebe” sphagnum moss.
Sphagnum moss can be strategically placed among wood, cork, and forest humus. This allows you to highlight specific areas and create natural transitions.
At the same time, sphagnum can absorb a lot of moisture and release it slowly. This allows you to create specific, moister areas without having to keep the entire substrate permanently wet.
You don’t need to cover the entire substrate with moss. Individual patches of moss scattered among forest humus, wood, and cork look particularly natural.
The right lighting is already included
So you don’t have to go searching for the right lighting, the Jumping Spider Complete Set – Creative already includes a Repto Flat LED.
It illuminates the terrarium from above and beautifully highlights the various structures made of cork, wood, and moss. At the same time, this creates a clear day-night cycle when you control the lighting on a regular basis.
With an additional timer, you can easily automate this cycle.
Here’s how to set up your Jumping Spider Complete Set – Creative
- First, clean the inside of the rear glass pane so that the silicone can adhere properly.
- Attach the INSEKTENLIEBE cork backing to the rear glass pane using the included silicone, and press it firmly into place.
- Allow the silicone to cure completely for at least 24 hours.
- Then check the edges of the back panel. Since cork is a natural material, the back panel may not lie completely flat against the glass in some places.
- If there are larger gaps between the cork and the glass pane, seal them with a silicone bead. Apply the bead along the seam, similar to a corner joint in a bathroom.
- Sprinkle a little forest humus over the still-fresh silicone. This will visually conceal the joint.
- Let these silicone areas cure completely for at least 24 hours as well.
- You can then position the wooden discs and eucalyptus bell at different heights according to your preferences and secure them with silicone.
- Sprinkle a little forest humus over any visible adhesive joints as well, and let the silicone cure again for at least 24 hours.
- Next, fill the tank with the remaining forest humus as substrate. The set contains a total of 3 liters.
- Complete the substrate and decor with the INSEKTENLIEBE Sphagnum Moss – 100 g and the HOBBY Fingerwood Shadow.
- Finally, check that the front door is closed. The single front panel usually closes very tightly. However, if there is still a small gap, you can seal it further using the included 1.5-mm sealing tape.
- Then install the Repto Flat LED.
Important: Your jumping spider should not move in until all the silicone joints have fully cured.

Conclusion
With the Jumping Spider Complete Set – Creative, you don’t just get a terrarium with a few accessories. You get the basics you need to design your jumping spider’s home yourself.
Measuring 20 × 20 × 40 cm, the Terra Fix & Easy Nano Line offers plenty of vertical space. A cork back wall, wooden discs, an eucalyptus bell, and fingerwood create different levels, hiding spots, and natural structures. With 3 liters of sterilized forest humus, there is also plenty of substrate available, while 100 g of “INSEKTENLIEBE” sphagnum moss creates additional natural and moister areas.
We’ve also thought of the small details when it comes to assembly. Use the included silicone to secure the various elements. Forest humus hides any visible adhesive joints. After the silicone has initially cured, you can seal any gaps between the cork back panel and the glass with an additional bead of silicone. And if, contrary to expectations, there happens to be a small gap in the front door, the included 1.5-mm sealing tape is already provided for that purpose.
Once everything has fully hardened, you’ll gradually create a custom jumping spider terrarium for a jumping spider starting at FH5 —and because you decide how to arrange the wooden discs, eucalyptus bell, fingerwood, and moss, no two creative terrariums will look exactly alike in the end.
