With our health police, you bring valuable beneficial organisms into your terrarium floor, which ensure impeccable hygiene and provide your terrarium inhabitants with an optimal basis. These little helpers passionately take care of dead plant material, animal remains such as moulting waste, droppings, dead food animals, fungi and even mold. They help you to prevent mite infestations, which can quickly become a problem in terrariums, in a completely natural way.

The health police also give your terrarium a more interesting and aesthetic appearance. Instead of unsightly waste residue on the floor, you can observe active and attractive Isopods working hard to keep it clean. To ensure the perfect health police for your individual terrarium, we have divided our range into three different climate zones. This allows you to quickly and easily select the right beneficial insects for your specific conditions. The climate zone and the associated humidity in your terrarium are particularly important when choosing the right Health Police. In this way, we guarantee that everyone will find the right set for their terrarium and that the little helpers can do their job optimally.

It is important to know that the health police are remarkably adaptable. If the exact values for humidity and temperature in your terrarium do not match our specifications exactly, there is no need to worry. A few degrees difference in temperature or slight deviations in humidity are no problem for these robust beneficial insects. They adapt flexibly to the conditions in your terrarium and continue to do their work efficiently and reliably.

Mediterranean climate

Relatively dry humidity of around
60 % and temperatures around 30 °C.
Typically, there are many sunny days and mild winters. Greece is a good example of this climate zone.

Composition

Here we use a combination of springtails and Porcellio echinatus. This combination is ideal for relatively dry terrariums with a high temperature.

Temperate climate

This climate zone has an average humidity of around 75%. Temperatures are usually in the region of 25 °C. France is representative of this climate.

Composition

The mixture of springtails and Armadillidium nasatum is excellent for the balanced, moderate humidity and moderate temperature.

Tropical climate

Known for its high humidity of around 90 % and temperatures between 26 and 28 °C. It is characterized by rainy seasons and constant temperatures. Thailand illustrates this climate.

Composition

For the humid and warm tropical climate, we use springtails in combination with Cubaris murina. This mixture is ideally suited to the constant tropical conditions.

 

Dosage and recommendation:

The right amount makes all the difference! The amount of Health Police you need in your terrarium depends greatly on its size. To ensure that your terrarium is well cared for, we recommend one can of Health Police for a surface area of 30 x 30 cm. This will ensure optimum colonization and distribution of the little helpers in your terrarium floor.
