Incubation – The most exciting time begins

The eggs contained are already in the final stage of their development. Under the right conditions, the remaining incubation period is currently only about 2 to 4 weeks.

During this time, the eggs should be kept at temperatures between 22 and 26 °C. At the same time, slightly higher humidity ensures that the young can develop optimally.

Checking the eggs every day is what makes it so exciting, because hatching often happens completely out of the blue. In the morning, the eggs may still look unchanged, but just a few hours later, the first tiny caterpillars are already crawling among the plants.

The first few days after hatching

After hatching, the young already exhibit the leaf-like shape typical of their species. At the same time, they are initially much smaller and more delicate than adult specimens.

The included complete phasmid kit provides the perfect environment for the nymphs right from the start. The built-in food vase keeps blackberry or raspberry branches fresh longer, while the excellent ventilation ensures a healthy environment.
