Ectrichodia distinctus “Predatory Bug”

Unlike many other predatory bugs known in terrariums, Ectrichodia distinctus does not feed on insects but on millipedes. They are not choosy and take on small European species as well as all African species. The offered animals are our own offspring and therefore very stable. We keep them in our INSEKTENLIEBE Isopod Starter Set L, which is completely sufficient for a group of up to 30 animals. A large piece of bark as a hiding place and a drinking bowl should not be missing. Ectrichodia distinctus likes it rather dry, therefore it is completely sufficient to keep the area around the drinking bowl a little bit more humid. This place is preferred by the females to lay their eggs. We feed our animals every 2-3 weeks with a millipede of the appropriate size.
