The animals show a predominantly calm and relaxed behavior, but are particularly easy to observe in the evening and at night. During the day, they like to retreat under pieces of bark, stones or into deeper layers of substrate, while later they actively wander through the terrarium. They move slowly but purposefully, and it is precisely this decelerated manner that makes them so exciting to observe. They never appear hectic, but confident and balanced.

A well-structured terrarium with sufficient floor space is suitable for keeping them. At the same time, the animals benefit from drier and wetter zones, as this allows them to regulate their own moisture requirements. Good ventilation is important, as waterlogging should be permanently avoided.

In addition to foliage and white rotten wood, they accept woodlice food, flower pollen, vegetables and protein-rich supplements very well. Due to their size and slow growth, a balanced diet pays off in the long term. Their development is leisurely, which means that each moulting stage is easy to follow and patience is rewarded.
