Brief description:

Merulanella spec. “Vietnam” has a gray-brownish base coloration. This is edged in red. The reddish border is particularly noticeable on larger Isopods and gives them an attractive appearance. The antennae and legs are also reddish in color.

The animals are very agile in the terrarium. As soon as the container is sprayed with a little water, they turn into slow Isopods and visibly enjoy the artificial downpour.

Merulanella spec. “Vietnam” can be found in cooler mountain regions and can also be successfully bred at 20 °C. They are relatively easy to keep and breed. However, care should be taken to ensure that the substrate does not become boggy as the temperature is relatively low. Watering less and spraying more often is the key to success with Merulanella spec. “Vietnam”.
