Suspense Until Hatching – Walking Leaf Starter Bundle

With our “Excitement Until Hatching” bundle, you’ll experience the fascinating development of Walking Leaves right from the start. Instead of receiving fully grown creatures, your adventure begins with the eggs. After the incubation period, you can watch as the first tiny leaf insects hatch and slowly develop into perfectly camouflaged leaf insects.

It is precisely this special moment that makes the bundle so exciting. The anticipation grows every day until, suddenly, the first young animals appear in the terrarium.

Included in the bundle

  • Insektenliebe: Phasmid Complete Set

  • 10 Wandering Leaves Eggs

This gives you everything you need to get started with keeping these extraordinary walking leaves.

Incubation – The most exciting time begins

The eggs contained are already in the final stage of their development. Under the right conditions, the remaining incubation period is currently only about 2 to 4 weeks.

During this time, the eggs should be kept at temperatures between 22 and 26 °C. At the same time, slightly higher humidity ensures that the young can develop optimally.

Checking the eggs every day is what makes it so exciting, because hatching often happens completely out of the blue. In the morning, the eggs may still look unchanged, but just a few hours later, the first tiny caterpillars are already crawling among the plants.

The first few days after hatching

After hatching, the young already exhibit the leaf-like shape typical of their species. At the same time, they are initially much smaller and more delicate than adult specimens.

The included complete phasmid kit provides the perfect environment for the nymphs right from the start. The built-in food vase keeps blackberry or raspberry branches fresh longer, while the excellent ventilation ensures a healthy environment.

This allows the newly hatched animals to focus directly on eating and growing.

Walking Leaves – How to Start Your Own Cultivation

The “Wandering Leaf” Complete Set includes eggs from either Phyllium gantungense “Rizal” or Phyllium letiranti “Tataba.” Which of the two species is currently included in the Complete Set depends on our availability.

You can find out which eggs are included in your order at the top of the product page under “Products Included.” The current type of egg included is clearly listed there.

Both species belong to the fascinating group of walking leaves and captivate observers with their extraordinary camouflage. As they develop, the animals come to resemble a real leaf more and more. Their body shape, leaf veins, and green coloration make them sometimes difficult to spot among their host plants.

With the eggs included, you can watch your Walking Leaves develop from the very beginning—from the hatching of the first tiny nymphs all the way to the impressive adult insects.

Why choose the Insektenliebe Phasmid Complete Set?

The complete set included has been specially designed for keeping walking leaves.

    It offers:

    • optimal ventilation

    • built-in flower vase

    • safe rearing conditions

    • enough room for development

    • easy maintenance

This makes the transition much easier, while the animals enjoy optimal conditions.

      Perfect for

      • Beginners in Phasmid Keeping

      • Families with children

      • Schools and educational institutions

      • Nature lovers

      • Insect enthusiasts

      • People interested in breeding

Here, children in particular get to see firsthand how an unassuming egg develops into a perfectly camouflaged walking leaf.

        Your benefit

You don’t just get animals—you get a real nature experience. From observing the eggs to the first hatching and on to the development of the adult animals, you’ll be there every step of the way.

The short remaining incubation period of only about 2 to 4 weeks makes this bundle particularly exciting, as the big moment of hatching is just around the corner.

An ideal starter set for anyone who wants to experience the fascinating world of the Walking Leaves right from the start.
