Pamphobeteus spec. “Mascara”<\/b> is one of the tarantulas that make an impression through their appearance alone. The animals look massive, strong and at the same time surprisingly elegant. <\/span><\/p>\n

Adult females in particular develop an enormous physique and show the typical presence of large South American tarantulas. At the same time, many animals have fine color reflections on their legs and abdomen, which can appear differently depending on the light. <\/p>\n

But it’s not just their size that makes this species special. Their behavior also often appears much calmer and more controlled than that of many hectic species. This creates a fascinating mixture of strength and composure. <\/p>\n

Behavior and special features<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Pamphobeteus spec. “Mascara”<\/b> is mainly crepuscular and nocturnal. During the day, the animals often sit quietly in their hiding place or in front of their cave, while at night they become more active and explore the terrarium. <\/span><\/p>\n
