This species originally comes from South East Asia, where it can be found in warm, humid forests and under rotting wood. There it uses the combination of high humidity and a well-ventilated substrate to develop perfectly.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A convincing attitude <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Amber Firefly<\/span><span class=\"s1\">  They are characterized by a rather calm nature and high adaptability if basic husbandry parameters are observed. A loose, humus-rich substrate with white rotten wood and a thick layer of leaves is essential to provide the animals with a permanent food source and retreat. Moist and dry zones in the container ensure that the Isopods can find their preferred area as required. An area with constantly slightly damp moss is readily accepted and supports healthy moulting.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The color scheme of the <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Amber Firefly<\/span><span class=\"s1\">  is particularly intense when the animals are well-fed and live in optimal conditions. The amber-colored areas almost seem to glow when they are in the light &#8211; a characteristic that makes them a popular choice for collectors and lovers of special color forms. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Variety is the key when it comes to feeding: in addition to leaves and wood, vegetables such as carrots, zucchinis and parsnips are popular.
