These enchanting Phidippus<\/span> bidentatus<\/span> “Maya”<\/span> <\/strong> are native to the depths of Mexico and reveal a fascinating variety of shades. Their basic colors range from delicate shades of light brown<\/span> to deep black, often accompanied by a shimmering green. They also decorate their bodies with elaborate markings in red, purple or even blue. <\/p>\n

Their large, alert eyes and beguiling gaze captivate even the most arachnophobic<\/span>. A sight that makes us pause and be enchanted. <\/p>\n

The growth of<\/span> Phidippus<\/span> bidentatus<\/span> “Maya”<\/span><\/strong> is slow at first and only from FH5\/6 do they increase in size. In FH3 they are about the size of Phidippus<\/span> regius<\/span> “North Florida”<\/span> or Phidippus<\/span> cf. regius<\/span> “<\/span>Apalachicola<\/span>” in FH2<\/span>. These active and alert jumpers are extremely curious and agile. With increasing age, however, they become very calm and relaxed. Whether green, blue, red or violet – both males and females delight us with breathtaking nuances, although the males are often somewhat more reserved. <\/p>\n

These delicate jumpers reach an average size of around 1.6 cm and can reach a respectable age of around 1.5 years.<\/p>\n

On warm days, it is advisable to spray them lightly, while spraying them every two days is sufficient during cooler periods. <\/p>\n
