The biped, which belongs to the ribbon-footed species, originally comes from southern Thailand. The exact location is Ao Nang. Limestone characterizes the environment there, where a tropical monsoon climate prevails. <\/p>\n

The species-appropriate keeping and care of Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” is relatively simple. The exotic species can grow to a final size of almost 4 cm in the terrarium. They therefore require a terrarium measuring at least 30 \u00d7 30 \u00d7 30 cm. <\/p>\n

In their natural habitat, Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” are mainly found near the ground. This should definitely be taken into account when designing the terrarium. For this reason, the substrate height should be at least 10 cm. A mixture of forest humus, white rotten wood, sphagnum moss and leaves has proved to be an excellent breeding substrate. Flake soil and fodder leaves are also readily accepted by the animals. Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” require a lot of lime in the substrate. For this very reason, it is important to mix twice the amount of lime granules or shell grit into the substrate. <\/p>\n

Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” occasionally also like to climb. For this reason, climbing facilities should be provided. Lava rock, as shown in the product photo, is often used as a climbing option. This type of rock also stores moisture and thus ensures a tropical climate in the terrarium. <\/p>\n

Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” can easily be kept in pairs or groups. If kept in groups, offspring are also regularly bred and you can also observe the growth of the small ribbon-footed fish. <\/p>\n

Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” like it warm and humid. The temperature in the terrarium should be between 22 and 26 \u00b0C. High humidity is important. To protect the animals from drought, the terrarium should be watered regularly. <\/p>\n

Species-appropriate feeding is not difficult. Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” accept white rotten wood, fodder leaves, vegetables, fruit and millipede food without any problems. <\/p>\n

Keeping Orthomorpha spec. “Ao Nang” is also suitable for inexperienced keepers and forgives the occasional negligence or overprotection. The animals can be bred successfully and are now available as stable offspring. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
