Information on winter packaging<\/strong><\/p>\n

We generally recommend winter shipping from October to April. If temperatures permanently drop below 10\u00b0, winter packaging is essential. <\/p>\n

As soon as the weather changes accordingly, the store system automatically adds the winter packaging to the shopping cart when a pet is ordered.<\/p>\n

To prevent Isopods and insects from freezing during shipping in winter, we have to pack them in specially protected packaging. Isopods, spiders, millipedes and insects are cold-blooded animals, they cannot generate their own body heat and are dependent on the ambient temperature. If the temperature drops below 10\u00b0 in winter, the insects can freeze to death. To avoid this, we use our winter packaging, which prevents the shipping box from cooling down. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Performance:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winter packaging is a combination of insulation and heating. A multi-corrugated cardboard box and special polystyrene panels (30 mm), which are inserted into the box to fit, provide good insulation and thus protect the contents from the penetrating cold. Heat is generated by a 48-hour and\/or a 72-hour heat pack, which react on contact with oxygen in the air and radiate heat. We determine the duration of the heat pack and the number depending on the weather conditions. We also adapt the size of the box to the respective order. <\/p>\n
