S. gregorius are often also offered as Spirostreptus spec. 2. They are considered to be relatively easy to breed and easy to keep. In their native habitat they mainly live in open forest areas. The attainable age is often given as 4-5 years, sexual maturity occurs at around 2.5-3 years. Offspring are often referred to as beginner species and are regularly found in the trade.     <\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Spirostreptus gregorius is olive to green striped. Its body is extraordinarily slender and even at 120 mm long it still looks very graceful. The collum (head shield) is also olive to green in color. The antennae are mostly brown. Its long legs are reddish-brown in color. In males, the 7th segment is strongly thickened.     <\/p>\n<p>Spirostreptus gregorius can be kept from an edge length of 40 cm x 30 cm. It is important that the terrarium is high enough to accommodate climbing branches, as S. gregorius are good climbers. Like almost all diplopod species, they are crepuscular or nocturnal. Additional lighting can therefore be dispensed with. The substrate should be at least 10 cm high, preferably higher. A temperature in the terrarium of 22\u00b0C &#8211; 26\u00b0C has proved successful for us. The humidity should be 60-70%. To protect the soil from drying out, you can spread leaves, pieces of bark or moss on it. This is also the favorite place of Spirostreptus gregorius. They mainly feed on the organic material contained in the substrate.
