The animals show an extremely light, almost translucent coloration, which appears slightly pearly in places. Due to the reduced pigmentation, both the body structure and the inner segments are more clearly visible than in other morphs. Each animal shows individual shading, which means that a group always looks particularly varied. This unique appearance makes the Ghost morph a real highlight in the Isopod terrarium.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Like the parent species <strong><span class=\"s1\">Porcellio scaber &#8220;Ghost&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"s2\">  are extremely robust and uncomplicated. The animals adapt well to different microclimates and are therefore ideal for beginners. Their activity is high and they can often be seen during the day, especially in structured terrariums with lots of hiding places. This high visibility is one of the great advantages of ghost morphs. The light coloration ensures that they are easy to spot even in darker ground zones or under foliage.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">When kept, the animals prefer a dry main area, but use a small moist zone to shed their skin or drink water. A loose, structure-rich substrate of forest soil, leaves and white rotten wood forms the ideal basis. Good aeration prevents waterlogging, because like all    <\/span><span class=\"s1\">scaber<\/span><span class=\"s2\">-Like other species, ghosts are also sensitive to excessive moisture. Their diet is varied. In addition to foliage and wood, they like to eat protein-rich supplements such as fish food, dried insects and cuttlefish shell. The bright pigmentation in particular remains strong if the animals regularly receive high-quality sources of calcium.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Reproduction is stable and reliable, but not too rapid. This makes <strong><span class=\"s1\">Porcellio scaber &#8220;Ghost&#8221;<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><span class=\"s2\">  This makes them an ideal choice for keepers who prefer an easily controllable colony. The young animals show a very bright coloration early on, which becomes more pronounced with each moult. As the animals are social and not very shy, their behavior can be observed particularly well in the terrarium.
