Springtail food – Natural complete food for Collembola

Our springtail food is a completely natural complete food for all springtails (Collembola). The balanced mixture provides important carbohydrates, trace elements, vitamins and proteinswhich are particularly important for growth, reproduction and a stable culture.

Springtails are among the most important helpers in bioactive terrariums. They decompose organic material, utilize food residues and help to reduce mould growth. However, for a culture to develop well in the long term, the animals need a Constant and easily utilizable food source.

For this reason, we have developed our springtail food as a finely ground powder developed. The fine structure makes it much easier for the animals to eat, so that even small springtails can utilize the food without any problems.

The recipe is based on many years of own breeding experience. We have been using this mixture successfully in our own springtail breeding for many years and have continued to optimize it over time.

Another advantage lies in the clean recycling of the feed. With the correct dosage, hardly anything is left behind, which significantly reduces the risk of mold growth.

It is particularly easy to use. Sprinkle a small amount twice a week onto the charcoal or directly onto the substrate. It is best to start with a very low dosage – roughly as if you were adding a little salt to a dish. You can then slowly increase the amount until you have found the optimum amount of food for your crop.

With our springtail food you reliably supply your Collembola with important nutrients and at the same time create a stable basis for healthy and productive springtail cultures.
