We supply this Sphagnum moss in a practical 1-liter tin. It is loose and not compressed in the packaging. This means you can use it straight away. You don’t need to soak or allow it to swell first. This saves time and allows you to use it directly and cleanly in the terrarium.

Sphagnum moss stores moisture particularly effectively. At the same time, it releases water slowly. This stabilizes the microclimate, especially in tropical or humid setups. Many reptiles and invertebrates benefit from specific humid zones. Consistent humidity plays an important role, especially during moulting or for sensitive species.

You can place the moss loosely on the substrate or in a damp corner. It is also ideal for designing back walls. Its fibrous structure makes it easy to incorporate between cork, roots or background elements. This creates a natural transition between the hardscape and the planting area.
