Mangostin leaves
(Garcinia mangostana) is used in traditional medicine in Southeast Asia as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic food.

The name mangostin is based on the Malay “manggusta” or “manggistan“. The mangostin tree has nothing to do with the mango. The mangostin tree is highly regarded in folk medicine in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Sri Lanka, with both the tree bark, the leaves and the fruit peel being used according to traditional Thai medicine. The traditional areas of application are inflammations such as acne, fungal diseases, wounds, diarrhea and dysentery.

In terraristics and aquaristics, the
mangosteen leaves
are used as ground cover. This makes the substrate natural and at the same time the tannic acid protects against mold and bacteria.

We would like to point out that this is a natural product and that no two pieces are the same.
