Hobby Terrano spring humus
In stock
The Hobby Terrano pregelatinized humus proves to be an outstanding alternative to conventional substrates. Made from the sustainably obtained fibers of coconut shells, this substrate offers a variety of attractive properties. By adding water, the pressed coconut humus becomes a loose and natural soil substrate for various terrarium animals and plants in just a few minutes. A single fiber briquette produces about 8 liters of finished substrate.
The Hobby Terrano spring humus has a notch in the middle that allows you to make two separate 4-liter portions. This practical feature allows you to conveniently use the substrate in quantities to suit your needs.
Hobby Terrano Quellhumus opens up a wide range of possible applications and has enjoyed growing popularity for years due to its moisturizing properties, especially for keeping tarantulas. The sustainable production of Hobby Terrano Quellhumus not only makes this substrate an environmentally friendly choice, but also guarantees excellent quality for the needs of your terrarium animals.
The moisture-retaining properties of the substrate ensure optimum soil moisture, creating an ideal environment for many terrarium animals and plants.
Whether you keep small reptiles, amphibians or invertebrates, Hobby Terrano spring humus provides them with a natural and comfortable living environment. Its versatility makes it an indispensable basis for a successful terrarium set-up.
Find out for yourself how Hobby Terrano spring humus can become an indispensable part of your terrarium keeping and create a home for your animals that replicates their natural habitat as closely as possible.
Please note that the coconut fiber substrate should not be used for primary decomposers. Although it has many attractive properties and provides an excellent environment for terrarium animals and plants, it is not suitable for millipedes, Isopods, cockroaches and other first decomposers to ingest this material. For primary decomposers, we still recommend the use of forest humus, white rotten wood and forage leaves.
Application:
To prepare the HOBBY Terrano spring humus optimally, use a 10 liter bucket or a suitable container size. Then carefully pour 3-4 liters of lukewarm water over the spring humus and leave it to work for approx. 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
The block will gradually swell and turn into a loose and natural substrate for your terrarium.
