Hobby Sphagnum Moss – Natural moisturizing moss for terrariums

The Hobby Sphagnum Moss is a high quality and 100 % natural terrarium mosswhich is particularly versatile in the terrarium. It is supplied in a practical brick shape and therefore takes up very little space during storage and transportation.

Before use, the moss tile is simply soaked in approx. 1.5 liters of lukewarm water poured on. The material then swells within a short time. The compact brick is turned into approx. 4.5 liters of ready-to-use Sphagnum moss.

The natural moss stores large amounts of moisture and slowly releases it back into the environment. Thereby it increases and stabilizes the humidity in the terrarium. In tropical terrariums in particular, it ensures an even and stable microclimate.

Many terrarium animals benefit from this property. Snakes, lizards, amphibians and numerous invertebrates like to use moist areas of Sphagnum moss as a refuge.

Also during the moulting moss can play an important role. Many keepers therefore use it as an inlay in so-called Wet boxes. There, the moist moss creates ideal conditions for problem-free molting.

The material is also ideal as a substrate for substrate for laying eggs. It reliably retains moisture and at the same time ensures a loose structure.

In addition to its function as a substrate, Sphagnum moss also serves as a natural terrarium decoration. It can be easily placed between roots, stones or plants and creates a natural design.

Application:
Simply place the Hobby Sphagnum Moss Brick in a bucket and add at least 1.5 liters of lukewarm water. After a short time, the moss will begin to expand to its full volume. Squeeze out the required amount briefly by hand.
