Hobby Reptile-Light T8 15W – basic UV supply for your terrarium

The Hobby Reptile-Light T8 fluorescent tube 15W / 26 cm provides reliable basic lighting for your terrarium. With a UV-A component of 30 % and a UV-B component of 8 %, it provides your animals with targeted, vital radiation.

UV-B is essential for vitamin D3 synthesis. Reptiles can only properly utilize calcium with sufficient vitamin D3. The lamp therefore supports healthy bone formation and has a preventative effect against rickets. It ensures a solid basic supply, especially for species with a moderate UV requirement.

The UV-B radiation is effective up to a distance of around 35 cm. The tube is therefore particularly suitable for smaller terrariums or as a supplementary light source in larger systems. Make sure you keep the recommended distance so that your animals benefit optimally.

The high UV-A content also promotes natural behavior. UV-A increases activity, appetite and reproductive behavior. At the same time, the balanced light spectrum ensures bright and natural illumination of the tank.

With a length of 26 cm, the T8 tube fits perfectly into compact terrarium covers or smaller light strips. It is only suitable as a special lamp for terrariums and aquariums. It is not intended for room lighting in the home.

The Hobby Reptile-Light T8 does not replace high-performance UV systems for sun-loving species. Nevertheless, it provides a solid basic UV supply for many tropical and subtropical reptiles.
