Perfect as a back wall or substrate
The Hobby peat sheets are a natural and versatile solution for regulating humidity in the terrarium. They reliably store water and slowly release it into the environment. This creates an even and stable microclimate, which is particularly beneficial in rainforest terrariums.
Thanks to their high storage capacity, the peat panels sustainably increase the humidity. At the same time, they prevent strong fluctuations as they do not release moisture abruptly. Tropical plants in particular, such as mosses, ferns and bromeliads, benefit from this constant humidity. They grow particularly well on the slabs and develop strong roots.
You can use the Hobby peat panels flexibly. They are suitable both as a substrate and as a decorative back wall. As a back wall, they provide a natural surface to which mosses and epiphytes adhere perfectly. As a soil element, you can integrate them directly into the substrate and make optimum use of their moisture-regulating properties.
Another advantage is the slight acidification of the substrate. The peat slabs give the soil a natural, slightly acidic pH value. Many tropical species prefer precisely this environment, as it corresponds to their natural habitat.
As it is a purely natural product, each panel has an individual structure. This gives your terrarium a particularly authentic and natural look. At the same time, the material is free from artificial additives.
The Hobby peat plates are supplied in a practical pack of three. This allows you to create larger areas or line several areas in the terrarium.
With the Hobby peat panels combine a natural look with functional humidity regulation – ideal for rainforest terrariums and sophisticated plant setups.
