Hobby Fluro LED

The Hobby Fluro LED lets your terrarium shine in a whole new light in the evening hours. The fluorescent night light, with its special spectrum, is a special feature among terrarium lamps. It produces a soft ultraviolet, slightly bluish shimmering light, which illuminates a number of scorpions (e.g.: Heterometrus laoticus) as well as some insects and spiders. The UV-emitting light also makes some spider webs glow and stimulates the mating behavior of some spider species. Recent research has shown that some chameleon species, such as the panther chameleon, also begin to glow bluish under UV light. Some species only in the head area, others even over the whole body. The hidden signal coloration is used for communication between conspecifics. The energy-efficient and energy-saving Hobby Fluro LED consumes only around 1 W and therefore saves almost 80 % on electricity costs compared to conventional spotlights. At the same time, the Hobby Fluro LED emits hardly any heat and therefore has no effect on the night-time temperature reduction required by many invertebrates.
