Gold flies are the ideal food for jumping spiders from FH5 to FH7, mantids and tarantula spiderlings. They are not only a natural food source, but also perfect for storing and dosing.
The pinky maggots can be stored in the fridge for several weeks. Due to the low temperature, the pinky maggots develop very slowly. To feed them, simply place the desired number of pinky maggots in the terrarium using tweezers. This allows the jumping spider, for example, to eat the maggot directly if required or, if it is not hungry, a fly will develop after a few days and the jumping spider will then have another opportunity to feed. To enhance and prolong the life of the hatched flies, they can be fed with honey or sugar.

Gold flies and pinky maggots are harmless to the fish. Even during the critical moulting phase, the flies or maggots do not disturb the animals.
