Brachypelma klaasi – Quiet tarantula with impressive colors

Brachypelma klaasi is one of the particularly colorful tarantulas from Central America. The species originates from Mexico where it lives in dry to semi-arid regions with loose soils and dense vegetation. Its striking appearance makes it one of the most impressive species within the genus Brachypelma.

Particularly striking are the intensely red to orange colored legswhich form a strong contrast to the darker body. These bright colors immediately catch the eye and make the species look particularly impressive in the terrarium.

Like many other species of the genus Brachypelma, also Brachypelma klaasi mostly a calm and rather serene behavior. This makes this tarantula well suited for owners who want to keep an attractive and at the same time relatively relaxed species.
