Short description:
Phidippus otiosus is a jumping spider that occurs in southeastern North America. It is primarily a tree-dwelling species. The females reach a length of about 1.6 cm. Their shimmering fangs can vary in color from violet to green.
The animals are quite agile like all jumping spiders and you can actually always see them. Shortly before moulting they climb into their web and stay there until the process is finished. The animals are hunters and get their food without problems. It is always a spectacle to watch them.
The humidity should be around 70%. We spray in a corner every two days. This is enough and it is better to spray a little bit more sparingly than too much.
