Our 1250ml. Drosophila Instant Mix contains all the ingredients needed to ensure that your offspring grow up quickly and healthily. The breeding stock has a pleasant banana smell and can therefore be left in the living area.
Instructions for use:
Empty 23 g Drosophila Instant Mix into a approx. 500 ml breeding container and add 100 ml water. Stir with a spoon and press wood wool on top. Then the already existing Drosophilas can be added for breeding. Whether Drosophila hydei or Drosophila melanogaster, the breeding mush is suitable for both forms. Leave the cup at room temperature without direct sunlight and after only 2 weeks the first offspring can be fed.
The cooler the cup is kept, the slower the animals develop. Detailed information can be found in our husbandry report on Drosophila hydei.
