Archachatina marginata ovum is a giant among snails. The basic coloration is yellow-usually with spots or stripes. The body of the snail is light brown to gray-brown.

It is a great snail species that simply becomes huge. Therefore the terrarium size should be 100x50x50 cm. The substrate height should be 20 cm. Of course you should lime the substrate accordingly.

Daytime temperatures of 27-29°C and a humidity of 80-90% have proven to be good for keeping this species. The ground can be calmly almost swampy-wet. Like almost all snail species Archachatina marginata ovum should be kept in a group of 3 animals.
